Position Overview

Access Control Physical Therapy & Wellness is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Licensed Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Highland Park, New Jersey. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to patients requiring physical rehabilitation services within a welcoming and collaborative setting.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center located in Highland Park. Our facility is equipped with modern treatment modalities and evidence-based therapeutic equipment. You will be surrounded by a collaborative team of healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, aides, and administrative staff, all dedicated to enhancing patient experiences and outcomes. The center operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Thoroughly assess and document patient histories, including any previous treatments and identified physical limitations or disabilities, to develop personalized and effective treatment plans.

• Utilize the latest evidence-based practices to implement individual treatment protocols based on thorough evaluations and patient presentations, continually adapting methods to reflect changes in patient needs.

• Provide comprehensive evaluation services that involve detailed physical assessments, recognizing patient conditions that necessitate modifications in the plan of care or referrals to other healthcare providers.

• Maintain accurate, clear, and timely documentation of all patient interactions, including initial evaluations, treatment progress notes, and discharge summaries, to provide a comprehensive view of patient care and outcomes.

• Engage in ongoing communication with a multi-disciplinary team to collaborate on patient care, discuss treatment methodologies, and elevate the standard of service provided.

• Complete all mandatory corporate and clinical training programs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations to uphold the highest standards of practice.

• Participate actively in facility meetings, contributing insights based on observation and experience to improve clinic operations and patient access to care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily focuses on outpatient orthopedic care. You will work with a wide range of patients, from post-surgical rehabilitation to those experiencing chronic pain or mobility issues. Your expertise will empower individuals to restore their functional abilities and regain independence, significantly impacting their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from a CAPTE-accredited program is required.

• Valid State license as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT).

• A minimum of two years of outpatient orthopedic physical therapy experience is essential.

• Current CPR certification is required to ensure patient safety during interventions.

Preferred Experience

Experience in specialized areas such as sports rehabilitation, geriatric care, or chronic pain management will be advantageous. Proficiency in utilizing electronic medical records (EMRs) for effective documentation and patient management is also preferred.
