Position Overview

Access Control Physical Therapy & Wellness is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team in Metuchen, New Jersey. This full-time position will require you to operate on-site in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility, where you will apply your clinical expertise to enhance the lives of patients dealing with various orthopedic conditions. This role offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 annually, depending on experience.

Work Environment

Our rehabilitation facility in Metuchen is equipped with advanced technology and resources designed to support effective treatment and rehabilitation programs. As a therapist, you will work alongside a skilled multidisciplinary team that includes other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Our work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, allowing you to maintain a strong work-life balance while contributing to meaningful patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Comply with state practice acts and understand pertinent laws governing physical therapy practice and supervision.
• Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations to develop specialized treatment plans customized for patients with functional limitations and disabilities.
• Perform detailed assessment services, including the collection and analysis of relevant medical history and specific evaluations, to formulate effective treatment recommendations.
• Implement treatment protocols accurately based on evaluation outcomes, demonstrating proficiency and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of patients and healthcare advancements.
• Engage with other healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care, recognizing and documenting necessary modifications in treatment plans based on patient progress.
• Carry out comprehensive discharge planning and follow-up procedures, ensuring that patient documentation reflects the complete course of treatment, including clear baseline assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Participate in facility meetings and therapeutic initiatives, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality patient care.
• Maintain compliance with state, local, and federal regulations, ensuring all required corporate and clinical training is up to date.
• Actively evaluate, treat, and direct therapy for patients, clearly documenting medical necessity for physical therapy services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be treating a diverse patient population comprising individuals with various orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Our facility places a strong emphasis on personalized care, ensuring that every treatment plan is tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of each patient, ultimately striving to enhance their mobility and quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program.
• A valid state license to practice as a DPT.
• A minimum of two years of outpatient orthopedic experience.
• Current CPR certification to ensure optimal patient safety during treatments.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience in specialized treatment techniques, such as manual therapy or post-operative rehabilitation, will be advantageous. Familiarity with modalities like ultrasound or electrical stimulation is also welcomed. Additional training in evidence-based practice methodologies will help in providing innovative patient care.
