Position Overview

Open Play Physical Therapy is currently seeking a committed and experienced full-time Physical Therapist (PT) to join our progressive outpatient orthopedic practice located in Matawan, New Jersey. As a Physical Therapist at our facility, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain mobility and enhance their quality of life through customized therapy protocols and interventions. You will work closely with our supportive team to implement treatment plans that directly address patients' unique needs and aspirations.

Open Play Physical Therapy is a privately owned practice renowned for its focus on delivering high-quality care in a state-of-the-art 5,000 square foot sports medicine facility. Our practice primarily serves individuals with private medical insurance and is dedicated to providing exceptional rehab services to enhance patient outcomes. Our small but mighty team consists of two experienced Physical Therapists and a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), all working collaboratively to ensure comprehensive care is delivered to each patient.

Work Environment

This is an onsite position based in our well-equipped outpatient office environment in Matawan, NJ. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM. The practice is designed to foster an engaging and supportive atmosphere, allowing our team to focus solely on patient care without the distractions commonly found in larger healthcare organizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' conditions to identify goals and treatment plans, ensuring an individualized approach tailored to each patient.
• Manage a patient caseload methodically, with an expectation of treating one patient per hour, allowing for focused, quality treatment and follow-up.
• Implement cost-effective treatment modalities that improve clients' range of motion and mobility while prioritizing non-invasive alternatives to surgical interventions.
• Develop comprehensive care plans utilizing diverse therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy and personalized exercise regimens.
• Motivate and educate patients throughout their treatment journey, with a focus on optimizing functionality and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure well-rounded patient care, exchanging insights and strategies for enhanced outcomes.
• Evaluate treatment progress through standardized assessments, adjusting intervention protocols as necessary, and keeping clear and detailed documentation of patient interactions and treatment outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice caters primarily to adults who require physical rehabilitation stemming from orthopedic issues, sports injuries, or general mobility concerns. We emphasize evidence-based practices and personalized treatment strategies, supporting our patients in reducing pain, enhancing physical function, and achieving their individual health goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid New Jersey license to practice Physical Therapy, with no disciplinary history.
• Demonstrated expertise in manual therapy and the development of exercise protocols.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, to track patient progress and facilitate communication.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate patients effectively.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred. Familiarity with principles of sports medicine and rehabilitation practices will enhance your capability to address complex patient needs in our facility.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 120,000 – 140,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
