Work Environment

The position is based onsite within our well-equipped rehabilitation facility, which has been designed to foster an encouraging and efficient therapy environment. You will be working within a supportive team consisting of two licensed physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), collaboratively focusing on optimizing patient recovery. Your schedule will consist of Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a work-life balance while engaging in meaningful therapy interventions.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments to identify and address the unique goals and needs of each patient.
• Managing an efficient caseload of up to one patient per hour, employing evidence-based practices to enhance treatment effectiveness.
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, which may incorporate a variety of manual therapy techniques and exercise regimens.
• Educating patients on alternative treatment options to minimize reliance on medications and surgeries while promoting active lifestyle adaptations.
• Monitoring and documenting patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans based on observed outcomes and ongoing evaluations.
• Collaborating closely with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care meets the highest standards.
• Encouraging and motivating patients throughout their recovery to maximize their functional capabilities, ensuring they are active participants in their rehabilitation journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily be working with patients dealing with orthopedic conditions. This includes individuals recovering from surgical interventions, injury rehabilitation, and those seeking to improve their overall functional mobility. Your capacity to build rapport and customize treatment approaches to meet the specific needs of diverse patients will be pivotal in helping them successfully navigate their recovery journeys.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid and current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• A clean professional record, free from disciplinary actions or board-related issues.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will also demonstrate:

• Prior experience working as a Physical Therapist in outpatient orthopedic settings.
• Skill and expertise in manual therapy techniques.
• Proficiency in developing tailored exercise programs for varied patient populations.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
