Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your daily tasks will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians and developing individualized treatment plans based on their specific needs.
• Implementing evidence-based treatment strategies that encompass a variety of modalities, therapeutic exercises, and functional training.
• Delivering skilled therapeutic interventions within the clinic that target mobility improvements, pain relief, and restoration of function.
• Consulting and educating patients and caregivers to empower them through their rehabilitation journey, providing home care strategies as necessary.
• Maintaining excellent communication with the broader healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes, sharing insights and progress updates that may influence treatment directions.
• Meeting established performance metrics and actively participating in quality improvement initiatives within the facility.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will be treating a diverse patient population, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurological, and sports medicine patients. Your expertise will be critical in managing a variety of conditions, from post-surgical rehabilitation to sports-related injuries, and chronic pain management. Every interaction will allow you to build trust and rapport, crucial for achieving positive treatment goals and ensuring comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) with a valid state license in Physical Therapy.
• A minimum of two years' experience as a practicing physical therapist, with a focus on orthopedics preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills that facilitate effective interactions with patients and team members.
• Proficient in using word processing and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Preferred Experience
