Picnikins Patio Cafe in San Antonio, TX is looking for a talented and passionate Grill Cook to join our kitchen team! If you love the sizzle of the grill and take pride in crafting delicious, quality food, this is the perfect opportunity for you. - Operate and maintain grill station during service, cooking meats, vegetables, and other menu items to order
- Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipes and cafe standards
- Monitor food quality, temperature, and presentation before plates leave the kitchen
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary grill station throughout the shift
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth, timely ticket flow during peak hours
- Follow all food safety and handling guidelines in compliance with health codes
- Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties as assigned
- Previous experience as a grill cook, line cook, or similar role preferred
- Solid knowledge of grilling techniques and cooking temperatures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-heat kitchen environment
- Strong time management and multitasking skills during busy service periods
- Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
