Post-doctoral Fellow/Psychological Associate Greenhouse Therapy Center, established in 1991 by Dr. Andrea Davis, is adding members to our clinical team to meet the growing demand for psychological services. We prioritize developmental, relational, and neurobiologically-informed approaches to therapy in order to provide exemplary in-person and telehealth care to children, adolescents, adults, couples, parents, and families. We are seeking a Post-doctoral Fellow/Psychological Associate (PA) who: Shares our commitment to equity, justice, and access to high-quality mental health care Approaches therapy and/or assessment from a developmental, relational, and/or neurobiological perspective in order to treat the whole person Seeks to work in a collaborative/team environment and is committed to continued growth as a clinician Demonstrates outstanding clinical effectiveness Demonstrates interpersonal skills of attunement, self-awareness, and self-regulation The ideal candidate will (special consideration for items in bold): Have experience providing specialized services in one or more of the following: Psychodiagnostic, psychoeducational, and/or developmental assessment Trauma-informed therapies (e.g., EMDR, Havening, cognitive processing) Child/adolescent assessment and therapy Art/Music/Movement/Somatic therapy Play therapy Couples therapy, family therapy Assessment and therapy for neurodivergent clients (especially. DIR/Floortime-informed therapy) Clinical Supervision for pre-licensed therapists Other areas of expertise and clinical focus Demonstrate independent administrative/organizational skills Be able to provide both in-person and telehealth services Be able to provide client-facing services in the afternoons/evenings and on weekends Have experience working with insurance/understand the complexities of insurance billing for those clients who use insurance Demonstrate passion and initiative for innovating new programs, outreaches, and approaches to serving our community & clientele What we expect from you: Maintain a caseload of at least 25 client service hours per week (building over the course of the first two months of employment, e.g., 3 sessions in the first week, 5 the second week, 8 the third week, 10 the fourth week and following) Maintain responsibility for client records and ledger, including writing session notes, charging clients, recording payments, filing insurance claims, etc., in an accurate and timely manner Attend weekly supervision meetings and meetings as requested by clinical leadership and administrative teams Provide timely response to client and Greenhouse emails, phone calls, and other professional communications Fulfill mandatory attendance in training opportunities, including biweekly clinical theory book group and DIR case consultation group All clinical employees receive: Beautiful, prominent, accessible office space in central Pasadena Access to large, fully outfitted sensory gym for clients with sensorimotor needs Paid administrative time in proportion to your client-facing time Administrative support for insurance contracting, billing, and record-keeping Access to robust electronic record-keeping platform Opportunities for professional growth, education, and advancement A uniquely diverse group of colleagues to encourage and promote team-based care Freedom to set and maintain your own schedule for maximum flexibility Referrals matching your areas of specialization and expertise The opportunity to create/pursue your own specialized program(s), passion project(s), with administrative and marketing support Pre-licensed employees receive weekly licensing-board-complaint supervision at a 1:10 hours ratio All full-time (25+ client-facing hours) clinical employees receive: W-2 employment; Greenhouse pays your Social Security, Medicare contribution, unemployment taxes, worker’s compensation insurance Medical/Dental/Vision benefits available when you reach a steady 25 billable hours per week; *Greenhouse pays up to half of your monthly premium cost, based on your choice from a variety of offered Anthem Blue Cross PPO, PPO with HSA, or HMO options. 401K retirement account for tax-deferred retirement contributions after reaching 1000 hours in a calendar year; Greenhouse matches a portion of your monthly contribution Case consultation/collaboration available as needed from advanced colleagues Opportunity to train in Greenhouse specializations through in-house seminars and reading groups; reimbursement scholarships for outside training also potentially available for clinicians looking to specialize based on center needs Referrals to match your stated interests, talents, specializations, and ideal schedule with clients Professional liability insurance (malpractice insurance) Customizable office space reserved to meet your schedule of availability shared with other clinicians (including use of large shared sensory gym and conference room when available) Online practice management software for session notes, insurance claims, and payroll systems Orientation training provided for all calendaring, claims, notes, and payroll Personal webpage with your own content on the Greenhouse website Flexibility in setting fee structure for private pay clients based on maintaining an average session rate set in collaboration with clinical leadership team Compensation contingent upon number of/types of direct client services performed, level of experience, areas of specialization, and other metrics as discussed with clinical leadership.
