Southern Grounds is a vibrant neighborhood café known for our fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, warm hospitality, and creative Southern-inspired cuisine. We are passionate about great food, community, and providing an exceptional guest experience.
Job Description:We are seeking an energetic and reliable Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment.
- Prepare and cook menu items according to Southern Grounds’ recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work stations
- Ensure proper food safety and sanitation practices at all times
- Assist with inventory, prep work, and other kitchen duties as needed
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen and frontofhouse teams Requirements:
- Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
