Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is sought for a facility located in Asheville, North Carolina. This role involves providing specialized care for cardiac, vascular, and general medical patients within a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. The position requires a dedicated RN able to support a diverse patient population, including post-surgical and medical cardiology cases, with a focus on telemetry and stepdown care.

Job Details:

• Location: Asheville, North Carolina
• Shift Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 08/17/2026
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), at least 2 years of relevant RN experience in a progressive care or telemetry setting, experience with cardiac and vascular surgeries, and experience providing care to post-surgical cardiac and vascular patients within a year.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with patients undergoing cardiac surgery (including open heart procedures such as CABG, AVR, MVR, Bentall, TAVR), thoracic lung surgeries, AAA repairs, fem-pop bypass, and vascular surgeries. Experience with electronic medical records systems, specifically Cerner, is a plus.
• Additional Information: The candidate should be team-oriented, adaptable to a fast-paced environment, and flexible with scheduling, including minimum weekend shifts and holiday coverage as required. The position involves working on a unit with approximately 40 beds, a patient ratio of 1:5, and equipment including Baxter IV pumps, CADD epidural pumps, and various lifts.
