Plant Manager

Plant Manager at Granges, F/T (Salisbury, NC) Responsible for advising the Sr. Mgmt Team on Site operation capabilities to enable the effective function of the organization. Ensure the integration of new initiatives into business operations while minimizing the risk of potential negative impact on existing operations, dvlp fin'l forecasts for the site on a monthly & quarterly basis. Ensure alignment & support of all operations & staff members are measured by plant performance. Must have Bach's deg in Mfg Engg, Metallurgical Engg or rltd field. Must have 10 yrs of progressive exp in operations or plant mgmt positions w/in the mfg industry performing or utilizing the following: managing plant or project operations rltd to metal mfg, incl operational Strategy, tech'l control & improvements & participation in Major Capital expenditure initiatives; managing the execution of safety rltd prgms incl RCFA, Cardinal rule prgms, Guarding upgrades, etc.; mgmt of 6S, Gemba Kaizen, ISO, TQM & Six Sigma projects; leading team(s) of employees & managers in a unionized team in critical areas in mfg; negotiating union contracts; Raw Material Mgmt & internal metal movement/logistics operations; systematic deployment of Mgmt mid-term/long-term goals to work force; achieving quality & production objectives & long-term goals at min. costs w/in environmental guidelines & regulations; formulating key performance indicators (KPIs) & production planning; determining production & process constraints & maintaining effective communication to streamline asset utilization, process flow & resource allocations w/in the division & across the organization; leading continuous improvements, cost control, Quality Mgmt, & marginal improvement projects; proposing inputs rltd to constructability of facility & infrastructure during the planning phases of projects; interacting w/ purchasers & vendors for global selections & availability of raw materials; roadmap & process safety modification; & capital repair plan mgmt; & utilizing Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Project, & Minitab Statistical Tools.
