Our teams develop and release over 100 new products a year and continue to grow our vast patent portfolio.Position Overview:Extron is looking for an AV Systems Design Engineer to support its well-established base of professional audiovisual integrators and engineers. In this role you will assist Extron customers with AV system designs, product training, commissioning, and technical support. AV Systems Design Engineers also work with the sales team as a technical advisor for Extron product applications.Responsibilities:Assist customers in development of Extron AV system designs and documentationReview AV system RFP’s and develop accurate bills of materialCommissioning of advanced Extron AV solutionsOnsite product demonstrationsEscalation point for onsite troubleshooting of AV systemsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred5+ years experience developing system designs for professional A/V systems.Experience conducting onsite commissioning for professional A/V systems.Experience supporting and troubleshooting professional A/V system installations.Knowledge and experience with technologies used in professional A/V systems.The following certifications are a plus: CTS or CTS-DXTP-ECompTIA Network+ or CCNAFamiliarity with AutoCAD or Visio is a plus.Expertise on MS Suites including Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point.Ability to communicate concise and comprehensible presentations to small and large groups.Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.40% Travel may be required.Salary range: $110,000-$140,000. Pay may vary depending on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
