Transportation Design Engineer

CKL Engineers is a multi-disciplinary professional services firm headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, with offices in Atlanta, Georgia and Orlando, Florida. We provide infrastructure planning, engineering, and construction management services to a variety of public and private clients. CKL is looking for talented leaders to build upon our strengths and grow locally, regionally, and nationally. On a daily basis this individual will be asked to:Use manuals, guidance, standards, and engineering judgment to provide infrastructure solutions on regional surface transportation projects.Provide design and construction management services for clients and partner firms including on-site project representation/inspection throughout Chicago and/or Northern IllinoisFace with clients to build your network as future leaders at CKL and in the industryEXPECTATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIESBuild upon our relationships and foster new relationships.Be flexible and open to new experiences.Be active in the larger engineering community through industry trade groups.Be a strong consensus builder and team player.Be a continuing learner – willing to challenge themselves and grow with the company.Be skilled in technical writing, documentation, proposal writing, and presentations.Be willing to take on a myriad of tasks inside and outside of the market to sustain and grow a small businessREQUIREMENTSBachelor’s Degree in engineering or related field requiredP.E Preferred E.I.T required with ability to receive P.E.
