Oncology Nurse - PCU

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week, with the possibility of one shift cancellation per week due to low census.

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Oncology Nurse with PCU experience and chemotherapy certification to provide high-quality nursing care in a progressive care unit setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a dedication to patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and treatment to oncology patients in a PCU setting.
• Administer chemotherapy and manage associated side effects.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, ensuring comprehensive documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on treatment options and care practices.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 24 months of recent oncology nursing experience required.
• Current and active nursing license with no restrictions.
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification required.
• Life support certifications must be from AHA, ARC, or ASHI.
• Must be able to start on the designated start date or no more than one week later.
