Job Title Emergency Room Registered Nurse Location Craig, CO Schedule / Job Type Contract | Nights | Onsite Key Responsibilities Plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans based on thorough patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. Perform triage, treatment, evaluation, and documentation in compliance with established guidelines, utilizing evidence-based practices in a fast-paced emergency environment. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and psychosocial and spiritual support needs. Identify barriers to effective communication and provide patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstance. Delegate patient care tasks appropriately to ancillary personnel; may precept student nurses and new hires. Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to all infection control, safety, and risk management procedures. Required Qualifications Current and active Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license or valid Compact license. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire. Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire. Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification, or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire. Current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification, or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire. Current STABLE and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications, or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire. Preferred Experience / Skills Two (2) or more years of hospital nursing experience. One (1) or more years of Emergency Department (ED) or Critical Care nursing experience. Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
