Head of People

To build a scalable People function, the remote Head of People will own the full employee lifecycle, manage talent acquisition strategies, and enhance employee experience while implementing systems and automations for efficiency. Key responsibilities Own and optimize the People tech stack, including HRIS and ATS, while building scalable policies and documentation frameworks Manage a Talent Acquisition hire and oversee recruiting infrastructure, ensuring quality and consistency in hiring processes Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations, handling concerns directly and facilitating performance conversations Required qualifications 6-10 years of experience in People/HR at fast-moving startups, with prior management or mentoring experience preferred Proven ability to build and implement HRIS and ATS systems from scratch Automation-first mindset with examples of workflows or self-service systems developed Strong operational and program management skills, with a focus on documentation and scalable frameworks Experience working with remote-first distributed teams and excellent communication skills for policy writing and leadership presentations
