Scope: Precision assembly of bearing components into finished bearing assemblies for Aerospace applications. This is a second shift position, with regular work hours of 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. Required Skills Ability to read, interpret, and apply precise and complex technical work instructions Blue Print reading Mechanical trouble shooting and problem solving Flexibility Assembly experience Strong work ethic Willingness to work second shift Responsibilities Follow work instructions / training documents specific to each assembly, inspection, and packaging operations. Obtain, read, and use appropriate blueprints for product. Verify all parts and components match order and part numbers for assembly. Set up assembly and/or packaging machinery per specific work instructions and training documents. Perform ring washing operations per specific work instructions and training documents (if applicable). Perform assembly of bearings per specific work instructions and training documents. Perform quality inspections per work instructions and training documents. Perform packaging operations for bearing assemblies per work instructions and training documents. Complete all required documentation. Customer Focus - Apply clear understanding of customer (internal and external) technical requirements for each order. Assure conformance of all products and assemblies to requirements. Team Participation - Collaborate with a variety of plant teams focused on continuous improvement. Occasionally serve as facilitator of such teams. Regularly rotate to other tasks and assist team members in meeting Team Metrics. Training - Continuously develop and upgrade training materials used to train other Assemblers, and occasionally assist in training. Requires continuous self-development of skills and business knowledge and the exercise of both. Safety - Requires daily participation in individual and team safety responsibilities such as departmental inspections, maintaining good housekeeping, and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Continuous Improvement - Generate and implement ideas for quality improvements and cost savings. This position may require access to United States export controlled technical data (“CTD”) and hardware under the Departments of US State (ITAR) and/or Commerce (EAR).
