Pediatric Dental Assistant

Responsibilities Assist pediatric dentists chairside during cleanings, exams, sealants, fillings, and other treatments. Help create a positive and calming environment for children and their families. Prepare and disinfect treatment rooms and organize kid‑friendly materials and instruments. Provide patient education on brushing, flossing, and oral hygiene habits tailored to young patients. Take and process pediatric dental X‑rays with care and precision. Manage instruments and sterilization according to safety protocols. Support smooth patient flow by working closely with the front desk and other clinical team members. Comfort and guide children through their visit with patience and a friendly attitude. Requirements Experience working with children is a major plus — whether in a dental setting, school, or childcare. Eagerness to learn and grow in the pediatric dental field. Excellent communication skills and a warm, upbeat personality. Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy clinical environment. Radiology certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
