Description
- Position Summary: Assembles or fabricates mechanical parts, pieces, or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in a specific area of a production line in a manufacturing organization. Reads, interprets, and follows basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products. Performs assembly work using hand-held tools and soldering equipment, and ensures the products meet quality standards, performing quality work checks.
- Prepare and assemble sub-assemblies off of engineering prints
- Measurer and shimmer parts to the pass line
- Assemble and test roll forming equipment
- Keeps inventory of products in workstations maintained.
- Identifies product defects and completes appropriate documentation.
- Reworks or repairs assembled equipment and products, following engineering specification changes.
- Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area.
