Engineer

Performs a variety of engineering work including such areas as design, production manufacturing, test, calibration and efficiency. As required by the business, works with various products, equipment and disciplines to increase production, quality, efficiency, volume and/or environmental suitability. Operates computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks. Experience in any 3D CAD software is a requirement, but knowledge of modeling experience in Creo/Pro-E is preferred. Also, experience creating/interpreting 2D drawings is a requirement. Gathers, coordinates and applies basic engineering data using established and appropriate or defined engineering principles and procedures. Applies area of specialty to design, develop, implement and maintain creative and innovative solutions to difficult problems. Reviews progress with management and recommends corrective action along with review of alternatives. Limited interaction with customers under supervision. Create and maintain component drawings, Bill of Materials (BOMs) and process routings for product designs. Provide Engineering and technical support to production, purchasing, marketing, and customers.

BSME or Engineering Bachelor's Degree from ABET accredited school or equivalent, may have a master's degree and may be a registered professional engineer. Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience. Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools. Competitive salary and bonus package. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. Some of work time is spent standing, lifting- up to 15 pounds, and bending. Works within a manufacturing office setting and is occasionally exposed to heat, cold wet, and fumes/chemicals. May be required to travel to customers'/suppliers' sites.
