VDCI is currently hiring for a Full-Time A&P Mechanic in the West Monroe, LA area!

• A&P License required!
• Sign On Bonus Offered for $5000.
• Relocation Assistance Available! Very Negotiable.
• This is an hourly based position that will pay between $30.00 - $34.00 per hour. With an IA (Inspection Authorization), this position will pay even more!
• Overtime hours available during our busier season from June - September.

As an Aerial Mechanic with VDCI, you will be an integral part of our mission to provide safe and effective mosquito control. You will perform all field and other related work required to service our customers and help the business grow. Your primary responsibilities will include efficient troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of aircraft, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and company policies. This role requires a commitment to safety, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.

• Aircraft Maintenance and Repair: Perform thorough troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of light twin aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations, manufacturer's instructions, and company policies.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and consistent aircraft maintenance records by properly documenting and completing required forms, computer entries, and logbook entries.
• Compliance: Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
• Work Environment Maintenance: Keep the work area clean and orderly to support efficient operations.
• Additional Duties: Undertake other duties as assigned, demonstrating a willingness to do what it takes to get the job done with a positive attitude.
• Customer Service: Assist in servicing each of the company's customers effectively to support the growth of the business.

Candidate Requirements

• Must possess an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.

Education

• High school diploma or GED required.

Experience

• Knowledge of light twin aircraft and understanding of FAA airworthiness requirements and FAA part 91 regulations.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong attention to detail, proficient writing and verbal skills, and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs. The role requires strenuous physical exertion, including driving, standing, walking, bending, climbing, kneeling, and crouching for extended periods. Must have the ability to see, talk, hear, and use hands and arms to grasp, handle, reach, and feel.
• Availability: Must be available to work Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed.
• Must possess a valid driver's license from state of residence

• Move up to 50 pounds occasionally, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.

• Performing repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and fingers, such as typing, picking, and pinching, within your regular work environment.
• Express or exchange ideas with others through the use of spoken word, quickly, accurately, and at an easily audible volume, and receive detailed information through oral communication at usual speaking levels without correction, and/or make fine discriminations in the nature of sounds in the environment.

Incumbent is required to have:

• Near-range visual acuity for detailed tasks and ability to perform activities with precision such as analyzing data, viewing computer screens or reading extensively.

Incumbent will be subject to:

• Inside working conditions: The change of building environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
