As a Host at KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot, you are the first and last impression for our guests. You will be instrumental in helping to create a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. This position is perfect for someone who loves interacting with people and thrives in a lively, fast-paced environment. Duties and Responsibilities: Greet all guests promptly and warmly upon arrival. Provide guests with accurate wait times and manage waitlists. Seat guests, provide them with menus and occasionally assist servers with initial drink orders. Answer guest questions regarding the menu and KPOT brand. Provide accurate information regarding menu, pricing, hours, promotions, and policies. Assist with side work and opening/closing tasks. Observe and monitor table turnover by taking note of occupied, dirty or clean tables. Clean and organize the front-of-house and host station. Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return. Inform management of large parties, special requests, or guest concerns. Answer phones professionally and courteously. Handle to-go inquiries or direct them to the appropriate team member. Ensure business cards, beverage menus, and other paper goods are clean and stocked. Monitor restrooms periodically and notify management of any issues. Maintain a positive, energetic, and hospitality-focused attitude at all times. Additional responsibilities as assigned. Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–10 hours per shift). Ability to lift and carry up to 25–50 pounds. Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive movements in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work in varying conditions, including heat, cold, and noise. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Essential Functions: Prior restaurant experience is not necessary but preferred. Strong communication and a passion for delivering world-class service at every touchpoint. Ability to stand for extended periods. Push, pull up, or lift up to 50 lbs. Occasional kneeling.
