Work Environment

This full-time position will be based onsite at our outpatient office, where you'll collaborate closely with a team of two other physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA) in a supportive atmosphere. Our work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while making a significant impact within the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients' physical conditions and establish individualized therapy goals based on comprehensive clinical assessments.
• Manage patient caseloads effectively, typically handling one patient per hour, ensuring timely and focused care for each individual.
• Design and implement evidence-based treatment plans that integrate various therapeutic techniques tailored to enhance movement and physical function.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques and develop customized exercise regimens to address specific patient needs.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, ensuring compliance with best practices and healthcare regulations.
• Educate patients on wellness and injury prevention strategies to support their ongoing rehabilitation journey.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, fostering an interdisciplinary approach to optimize patient outcomes and ensure continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals with orthopedic conditions seeking rehabilitation services. You will work closely with diverse clientele, from athletes recovering from sports injuries to elderly patients aiming to enhance their mobility and independence. Your interventions will focus on reducing pain, improving physical capabilities, and helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of New York.
• A clean professional record, free from any disciplinary actions or board-related issues.
• Proficiency in conducting physical assessments and implementing therapeutic interventions based on clinical guidelines.
• Strong documentation skills, particularly with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, such as WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of physical therapy protocols.
• Familiarity with diverse rehabilitation techniques and manual therapy methods.
• A proven record of developing and supervising exercise programs for varied patient populations.

Compensation and Benefits

The Physical Therapist position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience.
