People & Culture Manager

New York, NY (Hybrid, 3 days/week in office) About the Role The People & Culture Manager owns full scope HR support for assigned divisions, partnering with leaders and employees across the entire employee lifecycle, from recruiting and onboarding through employee relations, performance management, and engagement. You'll work closely with the VP of People & Culture on complex matters and the People Operations Specialist on HRIS, benefits, and reporting. Responsibilities Serve as the primary HR partner for assigned divisions, advising leaders on employee relations, performance, and talent management Lead recruiting for open roles, including intake meetings, screening interviews, and hiring manager support Manage onboarding, promotions, transfers, and terminations with accurate documentation and HRIS updates Advise on employee relations matters, conduct investigations, and recommend resolutions in line with employment law Coach managers through performance conversations, development planning, and corrective action (including PIPs) Reinforce company culture and values, especially during periods of organizational change Plan and coordinate employee engagement initiatives Partner with People Operations on HRIS updates, documentation, and reporting Qualifications Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field Required Skills 6 to 12 years of experience as a full lifecycle People & Culture or HR Manager at a B2B tech company Strong performance management background, including coaching managers and navigating PIPs Experience supporting senior executives (VP, SVP, CEO level) at a company with 50 to 250 employees Comfort wearing multiple hats in ambiguous, fast moving environments Background supporting a broad employee population (engineering, product, and data heavy teams, not just sales) Track record of rapid career progression and/or a highly collaborative mindset Confidence engaging with, and constructively challenging, leadership Prior experience using Paylocity as the HRIS is a plus Pay range and compensation package $145,000 to $170,000 base salary, commensurate with experience.
