Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) within a vibrant educational setting near Bessemer, AL. Openings are available at Pinson Valley High School, McAdory Elementary/McCalla Elementary, and Hueytown Middle School/Lipscomb Elementary, serving caseloads of around 60 students.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Active Speech-Language Pathology licensure in Alabama
• SLP Educator Certification for Alabama (must be verifiable per state requirements)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC) required for some positions; Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates welcome to apply
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
• Prior school-based experience preferred, but not mandatory

Position Overview:

• Full-time, contract-based (August 4, 2026 – May 27, 2027), 37.5 hours per week
• Manage a caseload of approximately 60 students
• Deliver speech, language, and communication assessments and interventions
• Develop and implement IEPs collaboratively with faculty and families
• Consult with teachers and staff to ensure inclusive support across educational settings
• Maintain timely documentation and progress reports in line with district standards
• Engage in professional development as required

This position is exclusively onsite and requires presence at designated schools throughout the week, with flexible assignments depending on location needs.
