UofL Health/UofL Physicians Group , located in Louisville, KY, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pain Management Physician to join its growing pain medicine team. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on patient lives while practicing within an academic health system affiliated with the University of Louisville. Our specialists work closely with UofL Healths primary care network to institute a sustainable approach to pain management. The physician will work in a multispecialty clinical office.

Requirements:

\n
• MD/DO from an accredited medical school
\n
• Candidate must be Board Certified and have completed an ACGME Accredited Pain Medicine Fellowship
\n
• Ability to obtain an unrestricted Kentucky Medical License
\n
• DEA certification
\n
• Strong procedural skills
\n
• Excellent communication, patient education, and interpersonal skills
\n

Essential Functions:

\n

\n
• Assesses the physical status of clients through interview, health history and physical examination and both inpatient and outpatient services.
\n
• Formulates treatment plans for health problems and follow-ups.
\n
• Writes prescriptions for medication, blood tests and routine diagnostic and follow-up studies and therapeutic measures.
\n
• Evaluates the quality of care provided and recommends changes for improvement.
\n
• Shares clinical expertise with personnel.
\n
• Documents and reports care in an accurate and timely manner.
\n

Other Functions:

• Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards of conduct.
\n
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:

\n

\n
• Medical Doctorate degree
\n

\n

\n

Experience:

• Epic EMR experience is preferred.
\n
• Strong computer and keyboarding skills
\n

\n

Licensure:

• Physician license for state of Kentucky
\n

\n

Certification:

\n

\n
• ACLS/BLS Certification
