Maintenance SupervisorTerms of Employment: 12 Month EmployeeReports to: Supervisor of Building and GroundsSalary: Current custodial salary scheduleMinimum Qualifications:Working knowledge of all maintenance trades - extensive knowledge a plusHigh School diplomaPerformance Responsibilities:Demonstrates knowledge and skill in preventive maintenanceMaintains the preventive maintenance system keeping current data, repair records, work orders and preventive maintenance recordsSupervises all Maintenance personnel in the DistrictMaintains written schedule of requested work and schedules of employeesMakes inspections to ensure that maintenance schedules are performedMeets with immediate supervisor regularly to discuss projects, preventive maintenance, work orders, and repairs neededWorks with Supervisor of Facilities, Facilities Manager and District Admin to plan, coordinate and schedule renovations and/or maintenance projectsShould be able to lift 50 poundsTrains all new maintenance personnelConducts and signs annual evaluations of the maintenance personnel, prior to signature and approval of the Supervisor of Buildings and GroundsMaintains records of requisitions and assignments completed, and inventory of all maintenance supplies and equipmentOperates motor vehicles with a valid class "D" licenseDemonstrates the ability to communicate directivesResponds to emergency calls at any timeWorks with all school personnel and administrators to maintain positive school relationshipsDemonstrates regularity in attendance and promptness in reportingOperates equipment as requiredDemonstrates ability to perform broad range of maintenance dutiesDemonstrates ability to read operating instructions, blueprints, schematics and directivesPerforms maintenance responsibilities that require specialized equipment, training and/or licensingPerforms related work as assigned by the immediate supervisor that falls under the duties of Maintenance SupervisorPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this job.
