Role Description The Clinical Research Support Laboratory (CRSL) at Yale Cancer Center handles research biospecimens from clinical trials. The Research Technician will follow protocols, process patient materials, interpret lab templates, and prepare shipments, working under supervision in a fast-paced environment. Essential Duties Conduct research, collect data, interpret and analyze results, and assist in research design. Prepare reports and publications. Supervise and instruct research staff, schedule activities, maintain equipment, and manage supplies and safety. Perform additional research-related functions as needed. Minimum Requirements Two years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination. Ability to interpret policies, protocols, and manuals; experience in a regulated lab environment; excellent communication skills. Attention to detail, punctuality, organizational skills, and ability to work independently or in a team. Proficiency in MS Office, knowledge of HIPAA, and medical lab terminology. Preferred Qualifications Experience with HIPAA compliance and specimen processing. Physical and Other Requirements Lift 30 lbs, travel within campus, stand for long periods. Occasional weekend hours, evening hours required. Background check, health screening, and specific vaccinations are required.
