Key Responsibilities Conduct regular meetings with clients to evaluate their mental health status, including emotional, psychological, and social factors that may affect their well-being. Develop and implement individualized therapeutic treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments and ongoing evaluations of progress. Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address a range of mental health issues, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, PTSD, and substance abuse. Provide psychoeducation and ongoing support to clients, equipping them with essential tools for coping with their conditions. Collaborate closely with other healthcare providers, such as psychiatrists and primary care physicians, to facilitate holistic care and referrals as necessary. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and treatment plans in compliance with ethical and legal standards. Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance counseling expertise and contribute to clinic objectives. Patient Population / Client Focus As a Licensed Professional Counselor, you will work with a diverse array of clients from varied backgrounds, each facing distinct challenges. This includes individuals grappling with substance use disorders, adults managing stress and mental health issues, and adolescents navigating emotional hardships. Your empathetic approach and comprehensive treatment plans will be instrumental in guiding these clients toward recovery and improved quality of life. Qualifications A Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required. A valid state counseling license is mandatory to practice as an LPC. Clinical experience is essential, with a demonstrated proficiency in managing a variety of mental health conditions. Strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients effectively. Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Preferred Experience Previous experience in a community health setting or outpatient clinic strongly preferred. Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing. Experience conducting group therapy sessions is a plus. Compensation and Benefits Inspiring Possibilities Counseling Center offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $95,000 annually, commensurate with experience and licensure.
