Partner with project teams, engineers, and operations leaders to surface project milestones, business priorities, and employee stories that support external communications goals. Write and edit content for PCL’s external website and owned channels, including feature articles, project profiles, sector page copy, employee stories, and announcements. Translate complex construction and technical topics into clear, compelling content for external audiences. Contribute to editorial planning and content strategy, identifying new story angles, content formats, and thought leadership opportunities. Maintain strong editorial standards, ensuring all content is accurate, on‑brand, and aligned with AP style. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or related field. 4–7 years of experience in communications, public relations, or a related field, in a corporate or agency setting; AEC industry experience preferred. Demonstrated experience developing and implementing measurable communications programs. Expert in AP style with superb writing, editing, and proofreading skills; ability to write for technical industries without losing accessibility or reader engagement. Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment. Experience with SEO or structured/answer‑first content strategy; AEO experience a plus, not required. Collaborative and stakeholder‑focused, with the ability to build and sustain positive working relationships with internal and external partners across functions and geographies. Strong communicator and creative thinker with the ability to use both data and intuition to inform editorial and strategic decisions. Comfortable working independently on complex initiatives while staying aligned with team and organizational strategy. Willingness to travel and work with teams across U.S. districts and Centers of Excellence, approximately 5–10% of the position. The estimated salary range for this role is $67,000-$86,500 , based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
