About the job

\n

We are seeking an experienced AR Collections Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with strong accounts receivable and collections experience, excellent attention to detail, and a consistent track record of employment.

\n

\n

Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and work the AR aging report to reduce past-due balances
\n
• Make outbound collection calls and send follow-up emails on outstanding invoices
\n
• Research and resolve billing disputes, short payments, and deductions
\n
• Apply and post customer payments accurately in the accounting system
\n
• Maintain detailed notes and documentation on all collection activity
\n
• Escalate delinquent or high-risk accounts to management as needed
\n
• Work with sales, billing, and customer service teams to resolve account issues
\n
• Prepare AR reports, aging summaries, and collection forecasts
\n
• Assist with month-end close and account reconciliations
\n
• Follow established credit and collections policies and procedures
\n

Qualifications:

\n

\n
• 2+ years of accounts receivable or collections experience
\n
• Experience with NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks, or a similar ERP
\n
• Strong understanding of the full collections cycle and AR processes
\n
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
\n
• Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion
\n
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
\n
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
\n
• Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
\n
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
\n
• Stable employment history and demonstrated job tenure
\n

Preferred:

\n

\n
• Experience in B2B or commercial collections
\n
• High-volume collections or cash application experience
\n
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
\n
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
\n
