Middle School Assistant Principal

Job Title Assistant Principal (Exempt) – Reports to Campus Principal – 212 days employed – Middle School Campus – BARNES MIDDLE SCHOOL – Seguin Independent School District – Date revised: November 2024 Primary Purpose The Assistant Principal will assist the principal in managing the educational and administrative functions of the school. This role includes providing leadership in developing and maintaining the best possible educational programs and services, fostering a positive school culture, ensuring the safety and welfare of students and staff, and promoting the academic and social development of all students. Qualifications Education/Certification: Master's degree in Educational Administration Mid-Management or Principal certification Special Knowledge/Skills: Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational skills Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction Ability to evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness Administrative experience required Experience Minimum of three years classroom teaching Minimum of two years assistant principal experience or equivalent Additional Information SEE ATTACHMENT FOR ADDITIONAL JOB INFORMATION.
