Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a contract position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Med-Surg nursing and be able to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Med-Surg unit.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and post-discharge care.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic medical records.

Qualifications

• Active nursing license in Alabama or a valid multistate license.
• Current BLS certification.
• A minimum of three years of recent experience in Medical-Surgical nursing.
• Ability to work nights, including weekends.
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility.

Work Schedule

This position will require night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, specifically Friday through Sunday.

• The position may involve floating to other units as needed.
• The facility has a specific number of beds available.
• Only candidates who meet the requirements will be considered for the position.
• Applicants with pending state licenses may not be under consideration.
