Behavior Interventionists & Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs)

Location: Caldwell, Idaho

Term: 2026/2027 School Year

Hours: Full-Time

Caseload: Elementary or Middle School

We are seeking dedicated Behavior Interventionists (BIs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) for full-time positions in the Caldwell area. In this role, you will help students develop the essential social, cognitive, and self-help skills needed to succeed in the school environment. Student needs vary widely and may include behavioral challenges, learning difficulties, and developmental delays.

Depending on school and student needs, staff may be assigned to provide dedicated 1:1 support or serve as a rover supporting multiple classrooms.

Position Responsibilities

• Direct Intervention: Provide direct 1:1 or classroom-wide behavioral interventions using positive reinforcement and evidence-based strategies to reduce challenging behaviors.

• Plan Implementation: Execute individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) with high consistency and fidelity.

• Skill Building: Support students in building vital communication, social, and adaptive skills.

• Data & Documentation: Maintain reliable, accurate data collection and daily documentation regarding student progress and outcomes.

• Collaboration: Work closely with classroom teachers, therapists (OT, PT, Speech), and clinical team members; provide regular written and verbal updates on treatment goals.

• Professional Development: Participate in staff meetings, monthly trainings, and ongoing supervision.

Qualifications & Requirements

Applicants may qualify under either the Behavior Interventionist or RBT track. All candidates must meet the general requirements.

Track 1: Behavior Interventionist (BI)

• A Bachelor’s degree in a human services field OR a Bachelor’s degree in a non-human services field with a minimum of 24 upper-division credits in a human services area.

• A minimum of 1 year of supervised experience working specifically with children with developmental disabilities.

Track 2: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

• Current RBT certification from the BACB is preferred.

• Note: If you are not certified, completion of a 40-hour RBT training will be provided by the agency.

Additional Requirements (All Applicants)

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Ability to pass a criminal background check through the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare (IDHW).

• Valid driver’s license.

• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
