Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) working on-site within a supportive educational environment near Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. Beginning August 3, 2026, and continuing through May 28, 2027, you’ll work full time (35 hours per week, 7 hours per day) at a single school site, helping students develop communication skills crucial for their academic and personal success.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, active FL Department of Health SLPA license required
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an SLPA, including at least 6 months in a school-based setting
- Experience providing direct speech services within educational environments
- Fingerprinting required—candidates with previous fingerprints through the AHCA Clearinghouse may complete verification steps; if not cleared, reprinting and a JLA badge application will be needed
- Strong communication skills, collaborative spirit, and a passion for student-centered care
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language services to a traditional student caseload
- Collaborate with on-site speech-language pathologists, teachers, and families to implement therapy plans
- Document student progress and maintain accurate, confidential records
- Support students across a range of ages and abilities, contributing to their communication goals
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary planning, as needed
- Adhere to all school district guidelines and state requirements
