Administrative Assistant to Food Service

Food Service Secretary
Coordinates the scheduling of Food Service employees, reviews and pays bills, and prepares reports. Essential Functions: Assists with school communications (e.g. distributes food service information to the various schools and buildings). Types, files, retrieves, staples, copies and distributes various records and documents (e.g. notices, forms, reports, requisitions, purchase orders, work orders, accident reports, menus, etc.). Sorts and distributes mail. Maintains staff attendance and substitution records. Places and receives telephone calls for the department; directs calls and visitors to appropriate district personnel. Assists in the preparation of food service records. Sorts, distributes, copies and submits required state and federal reports. Orders and maintains inventory of office supplies. Pays department bills Other Responsibilities: Prepares special projects and assignments. Helps prepare for fire, health, and safety inspections. Assists with special district events as directed (e.g., banquets, etc.). Performs other duties as directed. Physical Requirements: Stand and sit on a frequent basis over a seven-hour period. Work can be modified to be performed in a sit or stand only basis during the workday. Fine motor skills required for use in pincher grasp and typing. Working Conditions: Work is generally indoors in an office setting. Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED FLSA Status: Non-exempt
