Job Summary
The Marlin Bar Culinary Lead is responsible for supporting daily kitchen operations, preparing high-quality food, mentoring kitchen team members, maintaining food quality and safety standards, and fostering a positive, collaborative work environment. The role leads by example to ensure an exceptional dining experience while promoting teamwork, cleanliness, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and serve high-quality food in a scratch kitchen environment.
- Support daily kitchen operations and ensure efficient workflow.
- Mentor, train, and support kitchen team members.
- Welcome and assist in onboarding new employees.
- Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Promote teamwork, professionalism, and a positive work culture.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.
- Assist with additional kitchen duties as needed.
- Experience working in a scratch kitchen.
- Leadership and mentoring skills.
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment and tools.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules based on business needs.
