Gastroenterology Physician

Opportunity: Physician - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology Job Details: * Provide inpatient gastroenterology coverage with potential outpatient procedures * Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with no nights or weekends * Full-time position requiring 14 shifts per month minimum * Guaranteed 8 hours per day with overtime applicable after 40 hours per week * See approximately 5 patients per shift in a Gastro Hospitalist role * Work between two medical facilities in the area * Must have completed GI Fellowship training * Board certification required * Active medical license or IMLC required * DEA registration required * ACLS and BLS certifications required * Required skills include upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, cautery/laser procedures, diagnostic ERCP, esophageal procedures, small bowel biopsy, lower GI endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, and colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision * Ongoing assignment starting immediately until permanent provider is hired * Potential for permanent position consideration for qualified candidates Facility: This healthcare organization operates as part of a comprehensive medical system providing specialized gastroenterology services.
