• Food Preparation: Prepping ingredients by chopping, slicing, and marinating items as per recipes and menu specifications.
• Cooking: Cooking food items to order, ensuring that each dish is prepared accurately and meets quality standards.
• Station Management: Managing a specific station in the kitchen (e.g., grill, sauté, fry), maintaining cleanliness and organization, and ensuring proper workflow.
• Quality Control: Monitoring food quality and presentation, making adjustments as necessary to ensure consistency.
• Collaboration: Working closely with other kitchen staff, including chefs and fellow line cooks, to coordinate meal timing and ensure efficient service.
• Cleaning and Maintenance: Keeping the kitchen area clean and sanitized, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces, and following health and safety regulations.
• Inventory Management: Assisting with inventory by tracking supplies, reporting shortages, and helping with restocking when needed.
• Adhering to Recipes: Following established recipes and portion sizes to maintain consistency and food cost control.
• Time Management: Managing cooking times effectively to ensure that dishes are served promptly.
• Adaptability: Being able to adjust to changes in the menu or special requests from customers while maintaining quality.
