As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional service to staff and visitors. Position Type Part Time Pay Rate $22.00 / Hour Job Schedule DayTimeFri07:00 AM - 05:00 PMSat05:00 PM - 03:00 AM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to visitors, personnel, and members of the public while carrying out armed security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel and law enforcement as needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns. Monitor access points and screen or verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures; report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel. Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities. Minimum Requirements Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 21 years of age. An armed guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
