Job Description

The Installation Coordinator will support projects from the time an order is received through final installation and completion. This person will serve as a key point of contact for customers, coordinate schedules and deliveries, monitor project progress, and help resolve issues that could impact timelines.

The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, communicates confidently with customers and internal teams, and can stay organized while juggling a high volume of details.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary contact for customers throughout the order and installation process.
• Coordinate project timelines, schedules, deliveries, and installation activities.
• Monitor orders and shipments to ensure products arrive as expected and on schedule.
• Respond promptly to customer questions and provide updates throughout the project.
• Communicate with installation teams and field personnel to confirm project status and address issues.
• Research and resolve challenges such as damaged products, backorders, order discrepancies, and changes.
• Track outstanding items and follow up through final project completion.
• Partner with subcontractors and internal teams to obtain labor estimates and project-related information.
• Prepare and distribute necessary documentation to support deliveries and installations.
• Participate in customer, vendor, and internal project meetings.
• Maintain accurate project information and ensure deadlines and follow-up items stay on track.
• Provide general administrative and team support as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of professional customer service, client services, coordination, or administrative experience.
• Strong client-facing experience with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
• Proactive approach to identifying issues and following through to resolution.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of moving pieces.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.
• Professional, enthusiastic, analytical, and team-oriented.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with AI-enabled productivity tools.
• Experience in office furniture, design, construction, installation, or a related environment is a plus.
• College degree preferred.

Additional Details

• Assignment: Contract position supporting a maternity leave.
• Contract Length: September through January.
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.
• Work Arrangement: 100% onsite in Rockville, MD.
• Pay Rate: $25–$28/hour.
• Overtime: Available at the discretion of management.
• Interview Process: Initial assessment followed by one in-person interview.
• Start Date: September 1, 2026.
