Bring your expertise as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to a dynamic educational setting serving students from Pre-K through transition age (up to 22 years old). As part of this full-time, contract-based opportunity, you’ll play a vital role supporting multiple school sites across elementary, middle, and high schools in a vibrant district near Des Plaines, IL. Your unique skills will directly enhance the daily lives and long-term development of students.

This position offers a rich variety of experiences as you provide therapeutic interventions and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. You'll have the chance to travel between different campuses each week, making an impact on diverse student populations and continually expanding your professional toolkit.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current certification as a COTA, valid in Illinois.
• Active clinical license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
• Active educator license from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE).
• Experience in school-based settings strongly preferred.
• Ability to adapt to different school schedules and age ranges.
• Comfort with an itinerant schedule, providing services across multiple campuses.
• Fingerprints and additional district credentialing steps required prior to start.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students in alignment with IEP goals.
• Monitor progress and maintain detailed records for a variable caseload spanning Pre-K through transition age.
• Work closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success.
• Travel between assigned schools, adapting interventions as needed for each unique environment.
• Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and ongoing student assessments.
