Requisition Site Safety Specialist

divh2Safety Manager/h2pResponsible for creating and implementing safety standards, programs, training, and interventions to reduce incidents in the workplace and promote safety excellence in accordance with company and OSHA/Federal/State/Local rules and regulations./ph3Responsibilities/h3ulliSupports Corporate Safety Governance System including all safety policies and procedures, ensuring self and employees are in compliance with OSHA/State/Local/Company/Client rules and regulations./liliCommunicates regularly with Corporate Safety, Operations Management, Site Management, peers and subordinates, as well as representatives of the client organization, relative to safety practices, procedures and continuous safety improvement./liliCollaborates and supports Corporate Safety, HR, and Operations team to drive safety excellence at assigned location(s)./liliResponsible for coordination and facilitation of safety new hire orientation, training and certification programs at assigned location(s)./liliConducts incident investigations, assists in identifying root cause(s), and implementing corrective action(s) to prevent recurrence./liliDevelop and implements Job Hazard Analysis, Inspections and Audit Checklists to identify potential hazards and establish appropriate controls./liliDevelops and executes a site-specific safety improvement plan to enhance workplace safety./liliConsults with Corporate Safety to design, implement and execute safety initiatives/interventions to drive continuous improvement and safety excellence./liliCoordinates conducts ongoing safety training and Train-the Trainer programs./liliMaintain appropriate training and certification records including class schedules, registration, attendance, completions, safety certifications and re-certification./liliUtilize the Incident Management System to proactively manage safety data to identify trends and monitor safety performance at their location./liliDevelop and track safety metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and interventions./liliTake appropriate actions regarding safety inspection/audit findings or safety incidents./liliAssist with employee counseling, coaching, and proper documentation of safety performance issues as needed./liliExecutes the CBPS Safety Cadence process to proactively manage safety at the location(s)./liliConducts daily/weekly safety huddle meetings and creates/distributes corporate and site communications./liliPerforms other HR/Safety duties and special projects as requested/li/ulpstrongPHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS/MENTAL QUALIFICATIONS/strong/pulliTravel required, or as needed/liliAble to walk 4-6 hours per day/liliAble to climb stairs, ladders, etc./liliOperate industrial equipment (forklifts, etc.)/liliLifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs./liliDemonstrates sound judgement skills/liliDemonstrates good communication skills/liliMental qualifications include ability to design and facilitate efficient and effective training programs/li/ulh3Qualifications/h3ulliCertification Powered Industrial Truck/Vehicle required (e.g., forklift, powered pallet jack, order pickers, etc.)/liliCertified Environmental, Safety and Health Trainer (CET), OSHA 30 General Industry, preferred/lili49 CFR Hazardous Materials, IATA and IMDG Dangerous Goods Certification, preferred/liliBachelors Degree, Environmental, Health, Safety required or equivalent work experience/lili3-5 years safety experience in warehouse, industrial manufacturing, logistics and distribution and/or pharmaceutical industries/lili3-5 years designing and developing safety and health training/lili3-5 years PIV experience (Forklift a must)/lili3+ years of Incident Management System (e.g., Gensuite) experience/liliProficient knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, etc./liliKnowledge of Web conferencing tools (i.e., WebEx, MS Teams)/liliKnowledge of Incident Management Systems/liliStrong coaching, facilitation, and communication skills/liliExcellent writing skills/liliStrong project management, organizational, administrative and record keeping skills/liliExcellent interpersonal and customer service skills/liliAbility to work independently and in a team environment to drive safety excellence/li/ulpstrongWhat We Offer/strong/pulliAn opportunity to join an established team and be part of a successful and proven global organization!/liliA competitive compensation program!/liliLarge Company Benefits: Medical/Dental/Vision/401K with a competitive company match!/liliEmployee discounts on Canon products vendor discount programs for employees!/liliWorld-Class Training Career Development Programs!/li/ul/div
