As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Taylorsville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government corrections location, you will conduct routine patrols, operate a vehicle as needed, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and communicate professionally with staff and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorization as required, and document visitor, vehicle, and personnel activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required records related to patrol activity, incidents, observations, and daily operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
