Senior Engineering Manager

Salary: $184,562 - 194,665 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent experience, along with at least 10 years of relevant supervisory experience; alternatively, a masters degree plus a minimum of 8 years of experience.
• We require the ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance at the time of hire.
• We require successful candidates to meet U.S. Government eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
• We require U.S. citizenship due to the nature of the work performed in our facilities.
• We require experience leading and growing teams that deliver technologically complex programs in a dynamic environment.
• We require the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
• We prefer domain expertise in Anti-Tamper, hardware physical security, and/or commercial product development.
• We prefer a strong track record of leading cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver products.
• We prefer demonstrated success in building long-term customer relationships.
• We prefer strong communication skills across all organizational levels.
• We prefer knowledge of how to build, scale, and execute Anti-Tamper and physical security programs, including leveraging core products across multiple product lines.
• We prefer experience growing and executing production-focused programs centered on DTC/DTUPC and manufacturability.
• We prefer an existing Secret clearance.
• We prefer candidates willing to travel regularly to our sites in Scottsdale, Arizona; Boise, Idaho; and Salt Lake City, Utah.

• We are accountable for engineering program execution, cost control, and technical performance across all programs within the business segment.
• We direct, coordinate, and provide functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of all engineering efforts within the business segment.
• We support key technical initiatives and resolve complex issues as needed.
• We engage extensively with engineering program teams to identify risks, staffing concerns, and deviations from contractual scope, and to ensure appropriate mitigation.
• We collaborate across business areas and lines of business, sharing resources proactively when needed.
• We work closely with business development and the business segment director to define a viable strategy for sustainment and growth, and to provide technical guidance during proposals and execution challenges.
• We align technical strategy with overall business strategy.
• We approve engineering proposals and execution baseline plans.
• We ensure effective implementation of business-driven IR&D.
• We provide leadership and technical/managerial input for proposals, including identifying cross-business-unit strengths and technical gaps.
• We improve engineering through process changes, new methods and tools, and appropriate resource deployment.
• We support the implementation of technology into the business area or line of business, including AI.
• We manage engineering budgets and forecasts, capital and expense spend, and financial analysis including direct and indirect labor usage.
• We oversee people-related activities such as performance management, hiring, headcount planning, training and development coordination, and employee recognition.
