Travel Registered Nurse PACU Job

Overview
Registered Nurse – PACU, Travel assignment in Marysville, California. Start date 08/10/2026 for eight weeks in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting. Weekly pay range $1,993 per week to $2,038 per week. Guaranteed hours 36 per week. Shift is 5x8 Days (Day shift). This assignment is a travel - temporary position within an acute care environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care for PACU patients across age groups as assigned.
- Monitor patient status, assess vitals, manage post-anesthesia recovery, and address pain, nausea, and airway concerns.
- Administer prescribed medications and IV therapies; ensure safe sedation, analgesia, and rapid but safe recovery pathways.
- Collaborate with anesthesia providers and surgical teams; document and communicate patient status and changes promptly.
- Coordinate discharge planning and patient/family teaching to support safe transition from the PACU.
- Ensure patient safety, maintain professional standards, and perform accurate documentation in the electronic health record.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required at time of hire
- PALS certification within 1 year of hire for PACU/SDS; IV Sedation competency within 6 months of hire
- Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience in PACU or acute care setting
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced PACU environment and collaborate with the surgical team
