PainterThe Painter is responsible for performing painting and surface preparation work throughout Vinik Sports Group facilities. This role includes patching, sanding, painting, and maintaining a variety of surfaces while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality. The Painter will operate painting tools and equipment, handle materials in accordance with safety guidelines, assist other trades as needed, and help maintain a clean and professional environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent service while representing Vinik Sports Group in a professional manner.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform basic patching, sanding, and surface preparation to ensure areas are ready for painting.Apply paint, primer, and other coatings to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.Safely handle and dispose of paints, thinners, solvents, and other materials according to safety guidelines.Assist other trades and maintenance team members with projects and repairs as needed.Follow daily work assignments and directions from supervisors and senior painters.Use and maintain painting tools and equipment safely and properly.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.Demonstrate a working knowledge of painting techniques, products, and equipment.Represent Vinik Sports Group in a professional and courteous manner at all times.Perform other duties as assignedGame/Event ResponsibilitiesGame/Event Night Responsibilities: YesApproximate number of events worked per year: 70+QualificationsAt least two (2) years' experience in the painting field.High School diploma or equivalentKnowledgeable of painting related equipment.Possess a good knowledge of drywall hanging, patching, and finishing.Ability to decipher problems and remedy sameTeam worker with emphasis on safety in the workplaceAbility to work both independently and in team-oriented environments.Detail oriented w/ excellent organizational skillsCreative and proactive problem solverAbility to generate trust and support.Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skillsStrong work ethicHealthy and positive attitudeExcellent attendance and time management skillsComputer knowledgeState of Florida driver's license and clean driving record.Working ConditionsAbility to work efficiently and effectively in office and arena environment that can be exciting, loud and distractingThis is an onsite roleAbility to work extended hours including late nights, holidays, and weekends as neededAbility to lift/carry/move up to 50lbsAbility to work in cold/hot indoor and outdoor temperaturesAbility to use hands and fingers on office and mobile technologyAbility to commute to various venues throughout the Greater Tampa Bay AreaAbility to work in areas that can become crowded with equipment and/or peopleAbility to stand on feet for long periods of time, walk long distances and climb stairs.Ability to climb ladders, kneel, bend, stoop and squat without any physical movement restrictionAbility to work comfortably at high heights using man lifts, scissor lifts, truss, ladders, and catwalksAbility to work comfortable around special effects including, but not limited to: haze, strobe lights, lasers, etc.We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
