Business Operations Assistant

Location: Sanford, North Carolina

Position: Full time, in person and field based

Compensation: $30,000 annual salary, health insurance, and mileage reimbursement

Sanford Surrounded by LPT Realty is looking for a dependable, high-energy Business Operations Assistant to support our real estate operations and work directly with the owner.

This is a hands-on role that combines field work, administrative support, executive support, and special projects.

Some days will include installing real estate signs and lockboxes, picking up checks, delivering documents, or coordinating with vendors. Other days may include research, scheduling, following up with team members, updating systems, preparing documents, or helping move a business project forward.

This is a strong opportunity for someone who may not have extensive experience yet, but has initiative, good judgment, strong follow-through, and the ability to learn quickly.

1. Install, remove, and maintain real estate signs, signposts, directional signs, and lockboxes
2. Pick up and deliver checks, documents, supplies, equipment, marketing materials, and other business items
3. Drive throughout Sanford and the surrounding counties as needed
4. Drive several hundred business miles during a typical week
5. Coordinate appointments, deliveries, vendors, inspections, meetings, and local errands
6. Help manage the owner’s task list, reminders, follow-up items, and action steps
7. Turn conversations and ideas into organized tasks, deadlines, and next steps
8. Follow up with team members, vendors, clients, and outside partners until assigned work is complete
9. Attend selected meetings, take notes, document decisions, and track commitments
10. Research products, services, vendors, properties, and business opportunities
11. Gather quotes and information and present clear comparisons or recommendations
12. Update Monday.com, Google Workspace, Follow Up Boss, spreadsheets, files, and contact records
13. Prepare basic documents, checklists, reports, and meeting materials
14. Help prepare for listings, closings, client events, team events, and company projects
15. Support the owner with scheduling, organization, research, and special projects
16. Handle confidential business and personal information with discretion
17. Take ownership of other reasonable tasks as business priorities change

No prior real estate experience is required. We are willing to teach the right person.

This position requires regular local driving and hands-on field work.

Applicants must:

1. Have a valid driver’s license
2. Have a good driving record
3. Have reliable personal transportation
4. Maintain legally required automobile insurance
5. Be comfortable using their personal vehicle for business travel
6. Be comfortable driving several hundred business miles during a typical week
7. Be able to safely lift, carry, load, and unload real estate signs, posts, lockboxes, supplies, and equipment
8. Be able to bend, kneel, walk across uneven ground, and perform basic outdoor tasks
9. Be comfortable working outside in normal North Carolina weather conditions
10. Be able to safely install and remove real estate signs using the appropriate tools and equipment

Mileage for approved business travel will be reimbursed.
