Structure Exhibits is looking for an experienced, highly organized Project Manager who knows how to turn a great idea into a great execution.

At Structure, our Project Managers are the operational owners of the projects assigned to them. Once the scope, pricing, and design are approved, the PM takes ownership of how the work gets done —developing the execution plan, coordinating fabrication and production, managing schedules and logistics, protecting the budget, and making sure every detail is ready before it reaches the show floor.

This isn’t a position for someone who simply updates schedules and checks boxes. We need a problem solver, planner, communicator, and execution leader who can see around corners, make decisions, coordinate multiple departments, and keep complex projects moving when timelines get tight.

THE ROLE

The Project Manager is the owner of project execution .

You will take approved scopes, estimates, designs, CAD drawings, and timelines and convert them into executable production and installation plans.

You will work closely with Account Management, Estimating, Design/CAD, Production Managers, Graphics, Warehouse Managers, vendors, labor partners, and leadership to ensure projects are delivered:

· On time

· Within approved scope

· Within budget

· Safely

· At the expected quality level

· Within established margin expectations

The Account Manager owns the client relationship and event estimating.

The Project Manager owns execution and custom fabrication pricing.

That distinction is important. Your job is to determine how we successfully turn what was sold and designed into something that can actually be built, packed, shipped, installed, dismantled, and returned.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN

Project Execution

Own assigned projects from internal kickoff through post-show closeout.

Translate approved estimates, drawings, specifications, and client requirements into detailed execution plans.

Develop production schedules, milestones, dependencies, and deadlines.

Coordinate the people, materials, equipment, vendors, and resources necessary to execute each project.

Confirm that projects are truly production-ready before critical deadlines.

Custom Fabrication & Estimating

Take responsibility for the feasibility and pricing of custom fabrication, including:

· One-off and engineered exhibit components

· Structural modifications

· CNC fabrication

· Specialty materials and finishes

· Complex graphics, printing, and production processes

· Custom fabrication labor and material requirements

Develop fabrication estimates directly or coordinate pricing with Production Leads and leadership.

Understand how fabrication decisions affect cost, schedule, quality, and margin.

Production Planning & Coordination

Coordinate project requirements across:

· Custom fabrication

· CNC production

· Graphics and printing

· Warehouse operations

· Crating and packing

· Outside vendors

· Freight and logistics

· Installation and dismantle teams

· Show-site execution

Make sure every department has the correct drawings, specifications, instructions, materials, and deadlines required to perform successfully.

Logistics & Show-Site Execution

Develop and manage logistics plans, including warehouse pulls, shipping schedules, load sequencing, delivery requirements, and show-site timing.

Coordinate with labor supervisors, vendors, freight partners, and show-site personnel.

Serve as an execution leader during critical installation and show windows.

Anticipate venue, labor, timing, and logistical constraints before they become show-site emergencies.

Scope & Change Management

Know what was sold and make sure execution stays aligned with the approved scope.

Identify scope creep immediately.

Work with the Account Manager to determine the cost, schedule, production, and operational impact of requested changes.

Do not allow unapproved changes to quietly become part of the project.

Budget & Margin Accountability

Execute projects according to approved budgets and established margin expectations.

Monitor:

· Production and fabrication labor

· Materials

· Outside vendors

· Freight and logistics

· Project-related purchases

· Changes affecting execution cost

Identify potential overruns early and bring them forward with solutions.

We don’t expect Project Managers to silently absorb problems. Problems should be surfaced early enough for the team to do something about them.

Risk Management & Problem Solving

Identify potential problems before they become expensive problems.

When an issue occurs, don’t simply report it—help develop the solution.

Communicate:

What’s happening?
Why does it matter?
What are our options?
What does each option cost?
What does it do to the schedule?
What decision needs to be made?

Then help drive the decision through execution.

Post-Show Closeout

The project isn’t finished when the show closes.

Confirm the return and condition of assets, identify damaged or missing components, document necessary repairs, assist with final project cost reconciliation, and participate in lessons-learned reviews.

Use what happened on the last project to make the next one better.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Our ideal candidate has experience managing complex, deadline-driven projects involving multiple departments, vendors, and moving pieces.

Experience within trade shows, exhibits, experiential marketing, events, custom fabrication, millwork, scenic production, retail environments, or a related industry is strongly preferred.

You should be comfortable reading and working from:

· Estimates and project budgets

· CAD and production drawings

· Floor plans

· Fabrication specifications

· Production schedules

· Shipping and logistics plans

· Vendor quotes

· Change orders

· Show and venue requirements

Most importantly, you need to understand the relationship between design, fabrication, schedule, logistics, cost, and execution.
