Distribution Center SupervisorLocation: Brigham City, UT, US, 84302 Req ID: 484274Objective Of The Position: Distribution Center Supervisor's help drive the continued success of our Distribution Centers (DC) by working safely and efficiently to support all functions of the DC. Distribution Center Supervisors in conjunction with the DC Manager will be responsible for providing exceptional training, creating a safe work environment, and ensuring the activities of the DC run smoothly and meet company standards.Job Summary: Distribution Center Supervisors are responsible for mastering and training the skills necessary to work within the fast-paced and detailed environment. Distribution Center Supervisors will perform various daily management duties by overseeing, directing, and coordinating all activities of the DC to ensure the demands of customers are met on a continual basis. Success in this role is measured in the supervisor's ability to support the facilities team members and efficiency of the facility, providing excellent customer service, and promote an atmosphere of teamwork within the organization.Essential Functions:Maintain a safe and clean facility and use safety first practices to remain accident-freeUse all safety related PPE such as gloves, safety glasses, and vestsRecognize and resolve customer issues or complaints by determining optimal solutions in a timely mannerManage daily activities of the distribution center, including oversight of team members and ensuring productivity goals and KPIs are metResponsible for managing the DC P&LConduct and facilitate on-boarding of new employees including activities regarding "Best Day Ever"Effectively manage employee turnover. Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, evaluating, and coaching employeesRecommend personnel changes as necessaryFacilitate and coordinate compliance with required CBT courses associated with all DC personnelDelegate tasks as needed and follow-up with employees to ensure that tasks are being completedPrepare the weekly payroll submission and assure accurate information is being submittedResponsible for maintaining accurate inventory including meeting company shrink or loss goalsMaintain personal grooming and uniform standardsMaintain company attendance standardsOther tasks as assignedEducation And Experience:Education: High School Diploma or GED preferredExperience: 2+ years' experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment2+ years' experience supervising and training 15+ employeesRequirements: Must have valid driver's licenseMust have clean and consistent record of safetyForklift CertificationSkills And Physical Demands:Hard Skills: Ability to learn and operate all facility equipment including computers, and retreading machinerySoft Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills, time management and delegation skills, organization skills, can-do attitude, sense of urgency, and strong work ethicTypical Physical Demands: Regularly required to talk and hearRegularly standing and walking, with some bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbingAbility to occasionally move and handle tires weighing up to 100 lbs.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focusBackground Checks: All offers of employment may be conditioned on receipt of a background check report and/or drug screen that is acceptable to Love's.Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to outdoor elements in all seasons.
