We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to support our high-speed machine vision inspection systems used in food and beverage manufacturing environments. These systems operate on demanding production lines where precision, uptime, and technical expertise are critical.

\n

\n

This position is ideal for a hands-on, technically skilled professional who enjoys autonomy, extensive travel, and building strong relationships with customers as a trusted technical partner.

\n

\n

This is a 100% travel role supporting customers throughout North and South America. Candidates must be comfortable working independently in active manufacturing environments and managing frequent, sometimes short-notice travel.

\n

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Install, commission, and upgrade machine vision inspection systems at customer sites
\n
• Perform advanced troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and software systems
\n
• Diagnose and resolve issues involving processor-based inspection equipment
\n
• Integrate inspection systems into existing high-speed production lines
\n
• Conduct onsite equipment inspections, system audits, and performance evaluations
\n
• Provide professional technical support and training to customer personnel
\n
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system drawings
\n
• Complete clear, detailed service documentation and communicate effectively with internal teams
\n
• Work independently while managing a dynamic, travel-intensive schedule
\n

\n

Required Qualifications

\n

\n
• 5+ years of hands-on experience servicing precision electro-mechanical or industrial equipment
\n
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software-based systems
\n
• Strong experience with wiring termination, cable management, and control panels
\n
• Experience assembling equipment, frames, and support structures
\n
• Proficiency with power tools in industrial environments
\n
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
\n
• Customer-focused mindset with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
\n
• Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable working without direct supervision
\n
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules, customer needs, and work environments
\n

Preferred Qualifications

\n

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Network Engineering, Computer Technology, or equivalent military technical experience/certified trade training
\n
• Experience with inspection technologies such as:Machine Vision
\n
• X-Ray
\n
• Infrared
\n
• Magnetic Inspection Systems
\n
• PLC programming and/or troubleshooting experience
\n
• Previous field service experience in manufacturing or production environments
\n
• Technical documentation or technical writing experience
\n
• Metal fabrication and/or welding experience
\n
